Jamison Murcott is a graduate of Purchase College - SUNY with a BA in Creative Writing and minors in Literature and Spanish. She has worked extensively on the Italics Mine literary magazine editorial board, first as Editor in 2016 then Managing Editor in 2019. She also has experience working as a Reader for Fuse Literary Agency.

Her work has been featured in The Gandy Dancer Literary Magazine, Issue 5.2 and Italics Mine Literary Magazine, Issue No. 14. She is the recipient of the 2017 Ginny Wray Fiction Prize.

Her earliest written story is about her Uncle Larry mowing his lawn in July while dressed in a snowsuit because he was afraid of venomous snakes (she likes to think that her storytelling has since improved).
